The Ayuwoki is the titular main antagonist in "Escape the Ayuwoki" based off a creepypasta.

Appearance[]

The Ayuwoki wears a black shirt, seemingly modeled after Michael Jackson's Walk of Fame jacket. He sports disheveled black hair, that has a few stray wisps, further exaggerating the Michael Jackson look. In the first game, he had dark-colored eyes, but in the steam release, his eyes were a ghostly glowing white.

Behavior[]

He walks/crawls around the map, looking for where the player is. He can hear every noise that the player makes (assuming he's close enough). In the steam release, he can echolocate with his teeth ,he's blind As he nears the player, you can hear him sing "Hee Hee", which is one of Michael Jackson's famous vocal riffs.

In the DLC release of 'The Summoning', he is heard murmuring 'shamone' throughout various parts of the game.

Identity[]

While not much is known about his identity, the tapes in the game reveal that the Ayuwoki is presumably an outer-world entity dubbed an "elder" and requires child sacrifices from a cult that worships it. They're obsessed with gaining immortality by feeding the creature.

After becoming suspicious, the late singer Michael Jackson tried to expose the cult for their sacrifices and dark deeds. He was captured by the man who is in charge of the cult, known as Mr. Carlon, who later is responsible for sacrificing him in his rituals as a form of punishment. However, since the "entity" feeds on young children's fears, and Jackson who was sacrificed to the entity's ritual was an older man, something went wrong and the Ayuwoki was born.

Trivia[]

  • He transformed into something from the fire in this second game.
